The phofo of the week is actually a bunch of moving phots. Local cyclist Gabe has a bunch of videos of Critical Mass over the last year. The KC Mass has blossomed into 150 or more riders every month.

Local photographer and cyclist Chris Thomas has just posted the third set in a series of photos documenting urban cyclists in Kansas City. It’s really great work, and worth some time checking it out. Don’t miss the first and second sets as well.

Spotted this adult trike in the KCK/Roeland Park area… Of course I don’t condone riding on the sidewalk!
Thanks to my TiVo record button I was able snag this footage of a suit cycling down 12th Street in Downtown KCMO. This is at 12th and Oak right near City Hall, with the Arena MAX stop and a Metro bus in the background.

Local cyclists and photographer Chris Thomas has an awesome photo set up on Flickr called the KC Urban Cyclist Project. Check out the cool black and white photography of local cyclists.
This is the levee on the north bank of the Missouri River, looking west at the Broadway Bridge, with the Heart of America Bridge directly behind. It’s a beautiful levee that’s just waiting to be used as a trail…
On Saturday about 10-15 bicyclists rode over to Independence and Brooklyn Avenues to place a ghost bike in honor of Michael Hammond.
