NOTICE! The trails at Smithville Lake will be closed to cyclists and hikers this weekend.  The Missouri Department of Conservation is using the area for its annual youth deer hunt. Unless you want to become two-wheeled venison, please avoid choose another trail on December 16 and 17.

Robert Osborne Memorial

The Missouri Bicycle Federation reports that next year's inaugural Tour of Missouri has just been awarded a 2.1 rating by the UCI, making it one of the top 3 races in the US and one of the highest rated in North and South America.

Sad but true… After seeing my bicycle fatality map, the Pitch asked KCMO for a list of bike lanes in the city. Even though we have so few bike lanes that they can be counted on one hand, no one at City Hall can do it. There is no list.
