Bicyclist William E. Bickel of Independence died yesterday in rural Clay County after reportedly hitting a parked Highway Patrol car. The crash happened about 11:00 a.m. on Route 210 at Route N between Missouri City and Orrick in southeastern Clay County. No other details have been released, especially how an experienced cyclist came to hit parked car in broad daylight.
