Lots of bikey stuff happening this weekend. There is a little bit of something for everyone with Critical Mass, KC Sprints, club rides, a bike maintenance class, and a new bike drag race series.
Friday
Critical Mass, 6:30 p.m. at 4000 Mill Street in Westport
CM keeps growing in KC, and looks to be huge this year. 6:30 is the goal, but have patience because the ride often leaves much later.
KC Sprints, 8:00 p.m. at Buzzard Beach in Westport
The local goldsprints series returns for #2 of the year. It’s a blast if you haven’t checked it out yet. Watch or race, either way, don’t miss it.
Saturday
Maintain Your Ride Clinic, 10:00 a.m. in the Crossroads
A free class in simple bike maintenance tasks presented by the Crossroads Community Association, MoBikeFed, and the new BikeWalkKC.
Battles of Roanoke drag races, 5:00 p.m. in Roanoke Park
The Bicycle Bang Gang starts a summer drag race series in Midtown. Definitely gonna be a good time.
Sunday
200km Brevet with KC Ultra Cycling.
Club rides
The local bike clubs’ groups rides are in full force this spring. Check the KCBC/JCBC regional calendar to a ride that fits your location, schedule, and skill level.
