A few rides to get you in the holiday spirit and help you burn off some of those extra calories….
Thursday Brookside Ride (tonight)
The casual and friendly ride will tour holiday light displays around the BKS, Plaza, Mission Hills, and Prairie Village. Not will there be lots of lighted bikes, but also Santa Claus on wheels. Ride leaves at 6:30 p.m. from the The Roasterie Cafe at 63rd and Brookside Blvd.
Blue Moose Ride (tonight)
If you want to go really fast, the Blue Moose training ride also leaves at 6:30 p.m. Start and end is at the Blue Moose bar at 4160 W 71st St in Prairie Village.
Critical Mass (New Years Eve)
This mass should be extra fun, just be sure to watch KCBike.Info next week for an update on the situation with starting point at the Westport Sunfresh.
KCBC President’s Ride (New Years Day)
KC Bike Club President Mitchell Williams hosts the clubs annual New Years Day ride touring three bridges, Cliff Drive, and the Historic Old Northeast. 1:00 p.m. from River Market Cyclery at 3rd and Grand.
Also the group formerly known as the ACME ride, or the Explore the Urban Core ride, is meeting. We normally meet Saturdays at 3:00 pm at YJ’s. This year, on New Years Day, we are also meeting. We are having an outdoor potluck (dress warm) transported in by bicycle. Ride to Case Park around 10th and Jefferson in downtown KCMO at the River Bluff overlooking the downtown airport and the West Bottoms. We’ll eat around one or two or something like that.
