Tonight the Johnson County Bike Club sponsors the KC edition of the Ride of Silence, the international movement that memorializes injured and killed cyclists and pedestrians while raising awareness of the need for everyone to share the road safely.
This year JCBC has planned an easy and mostly flat hour-long ride from Brookside to the Plaza and back. It starts with a brief ceremony at 6:30 p.m. at Consentino’s Brookside Market, 14 West 62nd Terrace, KCMO (on the north side of the Brookside shopping district at 63rd and Brookside Boulevard).
