Cycling to the Plaza lighting ceremony

Thursday’s weather looks to be clear and mild, and bicycling is a great way to beat the traffic jams at the Plaza lighting ceremony.  While the Country Club Plaza isn’t ideal for bike parking, there are a few options besides trees and street lamps.

There is an indoor bike rack in the Valencia Place parking garage, on 47th Street behind The Gap and underneath McCormick and Schmick.  The Plaza Branch of the Public Library has lots of bike parking near the front entrance, at 48h and Main. Also, the KCATA will be running extra MAX service, every 15 minutes from 4:00pm to 11:00pm with bike racks on all buses.  The #51-Broadway and #56-South Oak also serve the Plaza.
