The KC Star has an update on progress of the Katy Trail extension towards Kansas City. In summer 2010 the first 10 miles will open on either side of Pleasant Hill – from near the Cass/Jackson County line southeast to Route P. The full 46 miles to Windsor is scheduled for 2012. Meanwhile, local governments continue looking for money for the final 20 miles from Pleasant Hill to the Truman Sports Complex.
