Public meeting about trail along Hwy 150

Highway 150 Trail Corridort

Tuesday evening the Missouri Department of Transportation and the City of Kansas City will hold an open house for the public to learn more about a new intersection at Hwy 150 and Botts Road in far south KC. The work is prompted by the move of the Honeywell plant from the Bannister Road federal complex. The project will include a segment of the Hwy 150 trail planned to extend across southern Jackson County.  Many employees of the Honeywell plant are bicycle commuters, so the company has been proactive in working to build out the Trails KC system connections in their vicinity. It's a small trail segment, it provides a critical connection for future regional expansion of the trail from Lee's Summit to Leawood.

Tuesday July 28, 2009, 4:00 p.m. to 6 p.m.
