The highly successful Tour of Missouri could be in jeopardy as the State of Missouri struggles to balance its budget in the Great Recession. The state’s tourism agency provides $1.5 million of the Tour’s $3.3 million budget, and that subsidy is being consider among the many cuts that Governor Jay Nixon must make to close the state’s budget deficit.
Supporters are needed to take swift action to ask the governor to save the Tour of Missouri. Call the Governor’s Office at 573-751-3222 and then follow up with an email.

I wish we could use some of that 1.5 million to fix the potholes in KC. That would mean a lot more to me.
