This weekend the city of Lawrence, Kansas will hold its first professional bicycle race. The Tour of Lawrence is a three stage race July 3-5th in downtown and on the Kansas University campus.

The Johnson County Sun reports that Kansas Department of Transportation and the city of Lenexa, KS are working to close a gap in the trail along 95th Street. KDOT will soon add a barrier to the 95th Street bridge over I-435, and Lenexa will construct connections to the bridge with trails on either side.
July 26th track bike racing comes to KC on a new grass track in Shawnee. Tonight there is a special clinic for folks who want to learn more and get ready for the race.
