ALERT – Ask City Council for bike safety in Columbus Park

Wednesday afternoon the City Council’s Planning and Zoning Committee will vote on a new mixed-use project in the Columbus Park neighborhood.  City staff have asked the developer change the angle parking design to increase safety for bicyclists (as well as pedestrians and motorists).

Unfortunately, Councilmember Deb Hermann is lobbying hard for a parking design that puts bicyclists at risk.  It’s a simple change that can make a world of difference, but sadly it’s often a struggle to get our city’s leaders to do something progressive.

ALERT: Ask the City Council to support bike safety in Columbus Park.

Background info an angle parking and bicycles.
