A vote on the angle parking debate in Columbus Park has been delayed. Councilmember Deb Hermann was not able to attend the hearing, so a vote has been put off for a week so that she can testify against safer parking on 5th Street in Columbus Park. However, the committee did debate the issue and took public testimony today. 4th District Councilmember Beth Gottstein was especially supportive of bicyclist safety in her remarks on the issue.
So, it’s not too late to contact Councilmembers on the Planning and Zoning Committee and ask them to support safer parking on 5th Street.
ALERT: Ask the City Council to support bike safety in Columbus Park.
