Wednesday evening the world-wide Ride of Silence comes to Kansas City to honor bicyclists and pedestrians who have been killed or injured by motorists. KCBike.Info maintains a database of fallen bicyclists in the KC region.
Wednesday, May 20th
Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. – Ride at 7:00 p.m.
Cosentino’s Brookside Market, 62nd and Main, KCMO
(North of 63rd just east of Brookside Blvd)
Do not park in the Brookside parking lot. There is plenty of on-street parking in the neighborhood, or better yet ride your bike there.
The ride will be a slow and silent ten mile loop through Brookside and Northeast Johnson County. Terrain is quite flat. No one will be left behind. This year the ride is sponsored and organized by the Johnson County Bicycle Club.
