Sentencing Robert Osborn’s killer

Three years ago this month Robert Osborn was shot and killed while bicycling home from work. Three years later one of his killers will finally be sentenced. The Osborn family says a show of force from the cycling community will be helpful in convincing the judge to hand down a strong sentence. 10:00 AM (approx), Monday Nov 17th, 2008 Jackson County Courthouse, 5th Floor 415 E. 12th Street (bet. Oak and Locust on 12th) Kansas City, MO 64106 816-881-3613  or 816-881-3000 From Robert's brother, Rick:
Finally, some justice is about to be rendered for Robert, our family, the public, as well as cyclists who want more safety. Please come to the sentencing hearing for one of Robert's murderers, Fabian Brown. The hearing will be held at the Jackson County Courthouse on Monday, November 17 at about 10 AM on the fifth floor.  Judge Jay Daugherty presides. Our family would like to see robust attendance in the courtroom.  This will show the judge that people care about safety on the roadways and want to see more deterrence with the maximum sentence possible.  Fabian Brown is up for a 10-20 year sentence.  The judge will decide the sentence based on various factors that we will present in the courtroom.  There will be some surprises.
