What started out as a way for professional racers to train in the off-season has bloomed into a sport of its own, and cyclocross has become very popular in Kansas City in recent years. For the uninitiated, cyclocross races consist of several laps around a course featuring dirt, rocks, pavement, and obstacles requiring dismounts and running with the bike.
KCK recently hosted the national championships, and we now have two cyclocross racing series in the region, as well as great races further afield in St. Louis and other parts of Missouri.
