The Star reports that after only two years the Tour of Missouri has attained the highest difficulting rating for an American professional stage race. UCI, cycling’s governing body, has just upgraded the ToM to the 2.HC category, on par with the Tour of California and the Tour de Georgia. The only races with a higher rating are the European Grand Tours (the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, and Vuelta a Espana).
