in all respect for the officer’s life, this is a good example of what could be wrong with the traditional thought of a bike route. why is it that bike route’s have been along what is known as a good car route? why can’t large cities lay out a plan for bike route’s to travel side streets, not hindered by stop signs? why can’t there be planned out route for bicycle travel in secluded, continuous routes away from car traffic. it can’t be too difficult to come up with a bike grid that accomplishes the same idea’s as a car route, away from the grid we all know as dangerous?
just a thought. it is always difficult to realize the exposure we encounter on a daily basis. what a shame. prayer’s for the family. god rest his soul.
