Road 1 Bicycling Basics

Description: This course gives cyclists the confidence needed to ride more safely every day and on Bike MS. We will cover bicycle safety, fixing a flat, bike fit, on-bike skills and crash avoidance techniques, as well as other topics on safely sharing the road. Designed for anyone riding a bike, it prepares cyclists for safely sharing the road. Part of the course is in-class and part of the course is on-bike and on-road, so bring your bike and helmet. This is an all-day course.
Bike MS Group Riding Skills Clinic
Date: Saturday, July 19 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Also August 23, 2008

Description: This clinic is specifically designed to teach key group riding techniques for cyclists on Bike MS and in any other group riding settings.. Communication, dodging obstacles, riding in proximity and emergency stopping techniques are covered. This course is approximately 3 hours of instruction and on-bike practice of techniques in a controlled setting. For new riders to Bike MS, an overview of what to expect the weekend of the ride will follow the clinic.
