Bike Week Concludes
Published May 18th, 2008 in GeneralFor the third year in a row, Kansas City’s Bike Week has broken all records. In just three years it has grown to 60-plus events all over the metro area, and a record 799 people taking part in the Car-Free Challenge. A big crowd gathered at Boulevard Brewering Co. today to celebrate the end of the week.
The big Challenge prizes awarded include:

8,080 miles, 3,765 bike miles, 191 people

Chris Locke - Cow Town Cycling Team - 331 miles
Kelly Ricke - Team OP - 203 miles
New Bike Commuter
Jevon Carlson - Team Frank Stallone - 185 miles
Heather Jordan - The Wheel Cyclery Team - 139.5 miles
Congratulations to all the winners and kudos to all of the volunteers, bike shops, sponsors, and others who helped make the week a big success.
