Bike Week Concludes

For the third year in a row, Kansas City’s Bike Week has broken all records. In just three years it has grown to 60-plus events all over the metro area, and a record 799 people taking part in the Car-Free Challenge. A big crowd gathered at Boulevard Brewering Co. today to celebrate the end of the week.

The big Challenge prizes awarded include:

8,080 miles, 3,765 bike miles, 191 people

Chris Locke – Cow Town Cycling Team – 331 miles
Kelly Ricke – Team OP – 203 miles

New Bike Commuter
Jevon Carlson – Team Frank Stallone – 185 miles
Heather Jordan – The Wheel Cyclery Team – 139.5 miles
