KCMO’s Public Improvements Advisory Committee (PIAC) has recommended funding for almost $1 million in trail projects for 2008-2009. This citizens committee makes the City Council on projects funded by the city’s sales tax. The full City Council will make the final decision later this month.

Projects recommended for funding include:

• Riverfront Heritage Trail - connection between West Bottoms and Downtown Loop
• Blue River Trail - construction
• Line Creek Trail - construction
• Little Blue Trace Trail - surveying and design
• Rocky Branch Trail - surveying
• Hwy 152 Trail - surveying
• Shoal Creek Trail - easement aquisition
