Today the full City Council approved the pedicab ordinance.  The city is also fast-tracking the licensing process so that they can be up and running during the Big 12 tournament next week.

We might have even turned around Councilmember Jan Marcason. I’m in DC for the National Bike Summit, but my spies tell me that Jan received a deluge of email asking to reconsider her Plaza exemption for the Highwoods corporation. Supposedly today in Council Chambers she admitted that the exemption needs to be re-thought.  Hopefully in a few weeks we might have a second ordinance to correct this mistake.
