Let’s Go, KC!
Published November 1st, 2007 in Advocacy, planningLet’s Go KC: The Alliance for Transportation Choice is a new coalition of people and organizations interested in making Kansas City more livable by encouraging the city to support bicycling, walking, and public transportation.
The first issue the group is tackling is the city’s new development code, which effects planning and zoning, parking, traffic, etc. I’ve already mentioned the new proposal for bike parking. Other issues include preserving stream corridors for trails, and requiring developers to bicycles and pedestrians in their traffic impact studies.
We need your help to let the Mayor and City Council know that the citizens of KC and neighboring suburbs want the city to provide better transportation options than the single-occupant automobile.
