KMBC-TV has two big reports on the Tuesday’s Tour of Missouri Stage 1 in KC. First is an overview of the entire day. Second is a profile of Parkville’s preparations for the race, including a thousand cowbells.

[ September 9, 2007; 8:00 am; ] Here is your chance to ride the route of the Tour of Missouri’s KC Stage just a couple of days before the pros do it. Proceeds from this ride will benefit Boulevard Racing Team’s Eldon Roush.

For anyone interested stalking the tour, it looks like the KCI Hilton is the headquarters hotel, I-29 and NW 112th Street. The parking lot is full of ToM official vehicles and the Discovery Channel team’s vehicles.

Yesterday’s Tour of Champions ride was a smashing success. Organizers where blown away by the tournout. Anywhere between 600 and 1000 people showed up to ride the Tour of Missouri’s Stage 1 course and support Eldon Rousch. The Podium Cafe blog has some photos.
