Sad news from Topeka, KS. On Thursday two bicyclists collided head-on while riding on a multi-use trail in that city. One person is dead and the other is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Neither was wearing a helmet.

Update: The Star reports that the granddaughter died today of her injuries. They were Sierra and Larry Guant of Lee’s Summit. Larry was a regular MS150 veteran and they were training for Sierra’s first MS150. Channel 9 just interviewed Larry Smedley of the Bicycle Shack, were they had stopped right before the crash. [...]
UPDATE: The memorial ride has been postponed until further notice. The funeral is Saturday morning, so the ride will be rescheduled so that the Gaunt family can participate.
