The U.S. Census consistently undercounts bicyclists; for example counting multimodal (bike/transit) as one “journey to work” mode, typically the longer mode. The Census also ignores non-work trips, which are the majority of all trips.

The Star has a video report on the Tour de Cure’s Wheel to Weston for diabetes. Some folks were concerned that this year’s higher fund-raising requirement would scare off some riders, but over 300 rode yesterday.
