KSHB-TV and The Star report that a bicyclist was early Sunday night near US 71 Hwy and Blue Ridge Boulevard. As is so often the case in this city, the police are sympathizing with the motorist because “it was dark and hard to see.”

Is it any wonder that so many Kansas Citians feel unsafe when our police refuse to enforce basic traffic laws?
