Beardsley Road

If you bike much between Downtown and Midtown, hopefully you already know about Beardsley Road. The one-mile stretch of road skirts the western face of the Downtown bluffs. The combination of West Pennway and Beardsley is a nice low-traffic, gentle-incline route between the Westside and the River Market neighborhoods. Sadly, Beardlsey Road has been closed between 12th and 17th since December 2005. Public Works is doing a massive rebuilding of a bridge structure, roadway, and retaining wall. The project is currently scheduled to be finished in July 2007. Here are some pictures of the construction.
