Guilty plea in Portillo hit-and-run

The motorist in the January 2005 hit-and-run of 13 year-old Juan Portillo has plead guilty and will serve up to four months in jail for the felony of leaving the scene of an injury accident.  The charge can carry up to a four year sentence.

Juan was struck while riding near Truman and Bennington.  The motorist drug the kid for 200 feet before finally shaking him loose from his grill and then fleeing the scene.
