Lee’s Summit has been updating their Greenways Master Plan.  The goal is a network of 150 miles of trails throughout the city, with a mix of streamway corridors and trails parellel to roadways.  So far over 30 miles are finished.  Unfortunately Lee’s Summit seems to have no interest in creating an on-street network for bicycle transportation - so good luck pedalling to the trail from your house, school, or shopping center.
