1. The Star reports on recent votes of the NKC City Council for bike/ped on the Heart of America Bridge and against the Paseo Bridge. Mayor Gene Bruns, who has long opposed the Paseo option, had to cast a tie-breaking vote.

3. The KCMO City Council recently passed a resolution in support of state efforts to extend the Katy Trail State Park to Pleasant Hill in the southeast suburbs.
4. Long time bike advocate and US Representative James Oberstar of Minnesota is the new chair of the House Transportation Committee, a promising development for Federal support of bicycling.
