A man and his 3 year-old daughter were hit by a teen motorist Monday evening in Eudora, Kansas, between KC and Lawrence. The girl was thrown from the bike trailer she was riding in. Both were flown to hospitals and there is no currently no word on their condition.

Here is a map of places where cyclists have died in recent years. While putting the map together I found it very sobering to see the number and distribution of of the deaths. The problem touches all part of our region - urban core, suburbs, and rural areas alike.
