The campaign to extend the Katy Trail State Park to the KC metro area recently received another round of media attention when Governor Matt Blunt endorsed a call for Ameren to allow the use of its portion of the old Rock Island Line between Windsor and Pleasant Hill. There is still no response from Ameren, and no news from Union Pacific, which owns the Rock Island segment between Pleasant Hill and the Truman Sports Complex.
