Trail photos
Published June 19th, 2006 in Mountain bikingKC is fortunate to have a wealth of mountain biking. Within a half hour drive of Downtown you can find more than a 100 miles of single track, lovingly built and maintained by the great folks of EarthRiders.
However, most of those trails could use much better signage. It's usually quite daunting for a newbie to even find the trail, not to mention navigate it. So I was very pleased to see local blogger Jason's review of the Shawnee park trails that included photos, complete with directional arrows. Great job, can't wait for more!

i think the future plans for SMP include an established flow (with some signage). there’s also a posting from earthriders at the trailhead that talks about some of the other great plans they have for SMP, some of which include an additional section of trails dedicated to challenging advanced riders - and if they are redoing some of the older, very steep sections of the trail on the west side of the woods to accomplish this goal…are we in for a treat!
